Gibson Les Paul Faded HP
Aleksey would typically make fun of the overpriced Gibsons, preferring more cost-effective quality alternatives that often look and perform better than their hyped brand cousins. That was not the case with this model, as Gibson managed to produce a good and practical performer that a working musician can actually afford to play at any gig, jam or recording session.
As one of the most iconic solid-body electric guitar models ever made, Les Paul needs no special introduction, but this one probably needs a few hints on the deviation from the standard that every guitar player knows by heart. The most noticeable and controversial is the G-Force auto-tuning system. Having perfect pitch, Aleksey did not need the auto-tuner but he certainly could appreciate the speed of changing tunings during a gig or a jam session. The heelless neck-to-body joint usually makes any solo-guitar player a happier camper, and Aleksey typically craved for this feature in his electrics. Other features Aleksey has been fond of in this guitar include the titanium zero-fret adjustable nut and the tune-o-matic bridge with titanium saddles.
Les Paul was a major innovator in the world of electric guitars, and we could be sure that this model would not disappoint the man they named the guitar after.
